New Zealand today passed a law banning the use of most semi-automatic weapons in the country. All parliamentarians supported the move except one.
The implication is that the temporary restrictions imposed by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern six days after the massacre in the Christchurch mosque will now become permanent.
