The voting in the prisons ended at 8:00 PM and the ballot boxes are being gathered by the polling stations, the prison service said Tuesday evening, stressing that the voting was conducted properly in all the prisons and without exceptional incidents.
The rate of voter turnout at the national level in prisons was 70%. In the course of the shifts, 1,455 staff members visited the polling stations that were dispersed in the prisons and also exercised their right to vote.
