The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court yesterday convicted for the first time a man accused of violating a legal provision - not giving a get (Jewish writ of divorce) to his wife for more than 20 years.
Last September, for the first time in history, an indictment was filed in the Magistrate's Court in Jerusalem against a get refuser who has been in jail for 17 years for refusing to give his wife a get.
