Deputy Defense Minister Eli Ben Dahan, paid a condolence call, Sunday, to the family of soldier Zecharia Baumel, whose body was returned to Israel last week, 37 years after Baumel went missing in the Battle of Sultan Yaqub in Lebanon.
Rabbi Ben Dahan served nearby at the time of the battle. He said after leaving the family, "From the story of Zechariah Baumel, there is one important message: The State of Israel will do everything to bring its people home, and in this way I pledge to act in the next Knesset in order to return the rest of the missing IDF soldiers, including Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin," whose bodies have been held by Hamas in Gaza since the summer of 2014.
