In a post on Twitter, US Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman praised the return of the body of Zecharia Baumel who went MIA 37 years ago at the battle of Sultan Yacoub in the 1st Lebanon War.
"For many years we prayed for the safe return of Zecharia Baumel and his comrades who fell in 1982 during the Lebanon war. Today, the body of Zecharia, an American and an Israeli citizen, has finally returned to his family. Welcome home, Zecharia, and rest in peace "
