The president of the State of Israel shortens his state visit to Canada and returned to Israel after a sudden deterioration in the condition of his wife, Nechama, a presidential spokesman said.
In the last few hours, Nechama Rivlin was anesthetized and sleepy due to respiratory issues. Upon landing in the morning hours, the President will travel to Beilinson Hospital to stay with her.
It was also reported that Nehama underwent a very complex lung transplant two weeks ago because of the medical condition she was in on the eve of the operation and since then she has undergone a long and complicated recovery process.
