Kan reported that Hamas leader Haniyeh spoke of the truce with Israel:
"We may reach a final agreement if Israel commits itself to what it said ... Tonight we have received a timetable from the Egyptian delegation ... The issue of the prisoners is not on the table at the moment, but there is no reason not to open negotiations for a prisoner exchange deal."
