Health Ministry officials have unveiled a new program that is being tested in a pilot project in the Haifa District, in which Tipat Chalav infant-care nurses will arrive at the home of new mothers to help and advise them on how to treat the baby.
Health Ministry Director General Moshe Bar Siman Tov said that "the challenges in the new parenting are becoming more complex and we need to reinvent the Tipat Chalav service with more hours of treatment, which will be open in the afternoon and on Friday, which will include more services such as sleep and nutrition counseling and home visits for the first child."
