An indictment has been filed against a resident of the Palestinian Authority village of Al-Azariya (Bethany) for car thefts, an apartment break-in and a theft in nearby Maale Adumim.
According to the indictment, the defendant who worked in the city and had a permit to stay only during working hours, took advantage of an opportunity and stayed in the city without a permit and late at night broke into several houses while the occupants were asleep. When he broke into the apartments, he used to steal their bags and the keys to the car, and in this way he also stole the car.
