The Ministry of Transport decided to continue the experiment, which prohibits the movement of trucks and heavy vehicles on the southern roads leading to the Gaza Strip in the morning and afternoon hours. This is in order to increase the safety of schoolchildren and residents of the western Negev traveling to and from work.
From today, truck traffic will be restricted at peak hours only on Routes 232 and 241 leading to the Kerem Shalom crossing in Gaza. In addition, trucks will be allowed on Route 264 from Beit Kama junction to Eshel Hanassi junction and Route 293 from Kama to Netivot, which has been restricted in recent months.
