The Supreme Court has rejected the request of Science Minister Ofir Akunis to postpone the implementation of the ruling to reconsider his decision not to appoint Professor Yael Amitai to the board of the German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development until after the April 9th Knesset election, according to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Akunis's decison was based on her signing a petition in 2005 supporting soldiers who refused to serve beyond the 1949 Armistice Line.
