Very high air pollution is now measured in the Gulf of Eilat, due to high concentrations of particles. The reason for the air pollution is a deep depression over the eastern Mediterranean, causing strong winds and transporting dust from the Sinai to Eilat.
The Environmental Protection Ministry notes that high air pollution is expected to continue until noon.
