In a post on Twitter, US special envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt warned Hamas against increased violence, writing:
"As we approach the 1st anniversary of the so-called “March of Return” we urge Hamas/other terror factions to take a path towards a better future instead of violence & a dismal future. Show the world you deserve its attention. Renounce violence. Palestinians in Gaza deserve better."
