Sixteen contestants participated in the National Bible Contest for Youth today (Monday) and competed for the four places reserved for the State of Israel at the World Bible Contest on Independence Day.
The quiz took place at the Performing Arts Center at the Shoham Local Council.
The first place in the state education system was Yarin Bar - a comprehensive student from Revivim in Rishon Letzion; second place was won by Itai Shtober - a student of the Jerusalem Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Yonatan Weissman, a student of the Jerusalem Degel Yeshiva in Nachalim, won first place in the State Religious School, and Adar Geller, a student of Noam Yeshiva in Jerusalem, won second place.
