Senior Palestinian Authority negotiator Saeb Erekat said on Sunday that Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă's announcement that her country's embassy would move to Jerusalem was "A blatant violation of Palestinian rights, international law, and UN resolutions."

He also said, We call upon the European Union to take action on this decision, which is a violation of Europe’s long-standing policy. We are raising the matter with the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation."
