In a post on Twitter former defense minister and senior member of the Blue & White Party, Moshe Yaalon extolled US president Trumps call to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, writing:
"US President's announcement on American recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights is truly good news. This is another important step after the transfer of the American Embassy to our eternal capital. President Trump understands that the presence of security and Israel's settlement difficult and challenging neighborhood like ours is really necessary."
