In an interview with channel 13 Chairman of the Labor Party Avi Gabbay played down the importance of the hacking of Benny Gantz cellphone and said that the major issue is the corruption cases around Prime Minister Netanyahu:
"This is the story of Israel should be talking about? the Submarine affair, the theft of Natural Gas is the real story. Your telling me Gantz's cellphone is the real issue? in the end, what we need to talk about is Netanyahu's corruption and the loss of democracy."
