Border Police officers were deployed at the Tunnel Checkpoint on Tuesday evening following a report of a stolen vehicle traveling from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria. The vehicle, which arrived at the checkpoint at a high speed, drove onto the sidewalk and caused light to moderate injury to a Border Policeman.
The officer was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. The vehicle was found abandoned between the villages of Al Khader and Battir. Security forces are working to locate the suspect.
