The March 2019 induction of hesder yeshiva students got started on Tuesday.
In the next few days 750 students in the program combining religious studies with military service will join the Israel Defense Forces. The percentage of those with combat readiness in the current recruitment is 100 percent and more than 87% of the recruits will serve in combat positions. Among the recruits are 15 students of the Lev Hatorah yeshiva in Beit Shemesh, all of them lone soldiers from North America who enlisted in Givati Brigade, artillery, paratroopers and homefront positions.
