Ayman Odeh, who heads the predominantly-Arab Hadash-Ta'al list, has canceled his participation in a cultural event that was supposed to take place for the first time this Saturday in the Haifa-area Israeli Arab city of Baka al-Garbiya, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Odeh was invited to participate in the event alongside former prime minister Ehud Olmert and candidate Ram Ben-Barak of the Blue and White list. He announced the cancellation after supporters of the Balad Arab party issued a response against the invitation of the other two and denounced the initiative.
