Knesset Speaker Yuli (Yoel) Edelstein said, Sunday evening, that the Supreme Court's decision to disqualify Doctor Michael Ben-Ari of the Otzma Yehudit Party from running in the Knesset "is a serious mistake and the entire public will pay dearly for it."
The Likud lawmaker continued, "Balad, a party that denies the existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish state, has no place in the Israeli Knesset." Referring to Hadash leader Ofer Cassif, he said, "One who legitimizes harm to IDF soldiers does not either. We will continue to struggle against provocative anti-Zionist elements in the 21st Knesset as well."
