The Water Authority Council has approved the proposed new mapping to reduce the number of water companies from 56 local corporations to 28 regional corporations
The reduction process will be implemented after the exact remapping. The authority says that the move is expected to save a lot of money by reducing administrative expenses, benefit from efficiency and economies of scale, as well as savings in contacts with outside parties and centralized purchasing.
