Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (New Right) responded for the first time to the possibility of disqualifying Michael Ben Ari from running for Knesset.
"I hope that the Supreme Court will not intervene in Israeli democracy and will testify to the decisions of the Elections Committee," the minister told Maariv.
