Chairman Naftali Bennett of the New Right Party told an Israel Democracy Institute conference on Thursday "We are not equating Hamas to the Supreme Court."
Defending comments made on Tuesday, the minister said, "The excessive power of the judicial system is binding the hands of soldiers to defeat Hamas. The situation in which soldiers have to be accompanied by an attorney, and [former Chief Justice] Aharon Barak is excited by the fact that they have set up legal command centers, is not a proper situation."
