In recent hours, high concentrations of respiratory particles have been recorded in the Arava region and down to Eilat, due to a hazy front coming from Egypt to our region, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection. It is expected that air quality will improve by the afternoon, due to the transition of the front to another area.
The ministry, in consultation with the Ministry of Health, recommends that sensitive populations in the Arava and Eilat - children, pregnant women, the elderly, heart patients and lung patients - avoid strenuous physical activity, and that the rest of the population reduce activity outside.
