Former Minister and senior Likud member Gideon Sa'ar participated in the pension conference of the Association of Insurance Agents in Eilat.
Sa'ar promised he would act immediately against closing the Sde Dov airport in Tel Aviv and said, "I support the struggle of Eilat and its residents against the closure of Sde Dov this coming July. There are no alternative and available solutions that make it possible to close such a central transportation infrastructure.
"So that Eilat will continue to thrive and be the southern economic gateway to Israel we must leave the airfield in operation. Immediately after my election, I intend to act immediately to postpone the decision to close the field," Sa'ar promised.
