Boeing said Tuesday it has "complete confidence" in the safety of their flagship 737 MAX, despite two fatal crashes by planes of that type since October.

The announcement was made after a growing number of countries and airlines are grounding their Boeing 737s.

"We understand that regulatory agencies and clients have made decisions that are right for them," the company said, adding that the US Airports Authority "does not require any further action at this stage, and based on this information, we don't think there is a basis for publishing new guidelines on the subject."
