A petition was filed with the High Court of Justice today appealing the decision of the Central Elections Committee not to disqualify Itamar Ben-Gvir and Michael Ben-Ari from running for Knesset elections.
The petition was submitted by 12 members of the Elections Committee, the Reform Center for Religion and State, the Tag Meir Forum, the Meretz Movement, and MK Stav Shafir (Labor).
Meretz Chairman MK Tamar Zandberg said, "The Elections Committee decided yesterday to throw the Attorney General's position into the trash and made a political decision that put a sign of shame on the entire Knesset. Bibi did everything to bring the Kahanists into the Knesset. We will do everything to get them out. "
