Senior members of Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid's "Blue and White" party believe that United States President Donald Trump may recognize Israeli sovereignty on the Golan Heights to help Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in the elections, according to Channel 13 Television.
Three of Gantz's confidants said that the party believes that Trump might announce the recognition of the Golan Heights during Netanyahu's visit to Washington in two weeks and thereby grant the prime minister a political achievement that he can present to the voters. No comment in Washington, DC.
