UN envoy to the Middle East, Nikolai Maldenov on Wednesday joined efforts to try to bring about a renewed truce between Israel and Hamas.
Maldenov met with senior officials in Egypt and together with them is trying to advance the renewal of the truce on the basis of past agreements reached a few months ago.
