Chairman Matnas Shehadeh of the Balad Party said on Thursday that the party was not surprised by the decision of the Central Election Committee to disqualify it.
Interviewed on 103 FM Radio, Doctor Shehadeh said, "It's a political decision, and that was expected. There is often a fascist racist atmosphere that does not tolerate any democratic discourse." He concluded, "We would be happy to go to the campaign for our voters.They're the ones who are giving us the strength and will to protect the interests of Palestinian citizens in Israel."
