The Meretz, Hadash-Ta'al and Labor parties have asked organizers of political panels in the schools not to invite members of the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) Party and are refusing to take part in the panels to which Otzma would be invited.

A letter by the three parties said, "We believe that there is no room for a public platform for [controversial Rabbi Meir] Kahane's successors, let alone for an educational institution that is supposed to impart enlightened democratic values and to denounce manifestations of racism wherever they are. We call on you as educators, high school principals and organizers of election events not to host people who fan the flames of racism, [and] call for transfer and ethnic cleansing."
