The Palestinian Authority has managed to secure temporary aid of about a quarter of a billion shekels a month – in the form of loans it will receive from Palestinian banks - to compensate for the hole in the budget created because of its refusal to accept tax revenues from Israel, Kan 11 News reported on Monday.

PA sources quoted in the report said that this is only a temporary solution and that the assistance will continue for the next two to three months. According to the sources, the PA asked the Palestinian banks to lend it 400 million shekels this month, but was informed that it would receive only part of the sum.
