Chairman Uri Maklev of the Knesset Science and Technology Committee has asked the management of the Transportation Ministry to operate trains to and from Jerusalem on Shushan Purim to ease the load on roads and buses.
He noted that this year will be seven times more difficult because of the observance being on Friday, the eve of the Sabbath. He also called for train service on Saturday night to accomodate people leaving the capital after spending Shabbat there.
