Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has published an opinion submitted to the chairman of the Central Elections Committee for the 21st Knesset against the eligibility of Pinchas Idan to be included in the Likud list in the Knesset elections because he held a senior position in the Airports Authority until recently.
Since the Likud primaries, it has become clear that Idan wanted to lower his rank in the authority in order to become a junior staff member because of the elections and continue his activities. Mandelblit said a complete picture would help the chairman of the elections committee to make a decision.
