The official value of the shekel rose an average of .156 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.625, up .028 from Friday, while the Euro slipped .153 percent to 4.1092 shekels, and the pound sterling was set at 4.7852 shekels, down .236 percent. Sharp losses on Friday meant for a 1.248-percent drop in the Canadian dollar to 2.7228 shekels, although it was reportedly doing better on Monday.
