The Likud party will not hold a campaign among Russian speakers in Israel and will not try to draw the votes of immigrants from the Soviet Union because of the fear that the Yisrael Beytenu Party, led by Soviet Union native Avigdor Liberman, will not pass the electoral threshold, according to Israeli public television.
Likud has even considered the possibility that no immigrant headquarters will be established and even if there is one, its efforts will be minimal. The ruling party will try not to attack Liberman and Yisrael Beytenu, despite the criticism they are getting in the opposite direction on the security issue and on issues related to the haredi-religious parties.
