Yisrael Beytenu Chairman Avigdor Liberman has announced that he will petition the Central Elections Committee to disqualify the candidacy of Ofer Kassif, who is ranked fifth on the Hadash-Ta'al list of the Knesset, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Liberman said, "Anyone who claims that Israel should not be a Jewish state, permits the bloodletting of IDF soldiers and determines that attacking them is not terrorism, his place in the parliament in Gaza or Ramallah."
