Ahead of an expected announcement by Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit of his intent to indict Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on corruption charges, Labor Party Chairman Avi Gabbay told Israeli public radio, Thursday, "Our job is to beat him at the polls - not in the investigations.

Gabbay explained, "A person is innocent until proven otherwise." He said the prospect of indictments "does not affect us because we have already said repeatedly, we are not sitting in a government headed by Netanyahu." Regarding the party's political policy, he said, "We believe in a regional agreement with the moderate Arab states and the division of the state with the Palestinians. I have no doubt that we will take over 10 Knesset seats."
