Former Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, who is in fourth place on the Blue-and-White list, spoke Monday for the first time as a politician on diplomatic matters, responding to a statement by United States presidential advisor Jared Kushner that the US Middle East peace plan will focus on borders, according to Channel 13 Television.

Speaking at a closed gathering for the party's Israel Resilience and Telem factions, Ashkenazi said, "We have to set boundaries for Israel, stressing that the Jordan Valley in our hands. We should strive to set boundaries, especially in a situation where only half of the public is inducted, and this is a dangerous situation."
