Judge Hanan Melcer, Chairman of the Central Elections Committee, has determined that the examination of the list of candidates for the Knesset showed that Labor Party No. 2, retired general Tal Russo did active duty in the Israel Defense Forces until May 10, 2017.
Melcer is demanding that the Labor Party submit its position on the eligibility of Russo's candidacy, because apparently three years have not passed since he completed his service before running for Knesset, as required by law.
