The State Comptroller Permit Committee asked Netanyahu's lawyer to announce whether he opposes publicizing the decision to finance court expenses.
The Likud has called the rejection "A scandalous and unilateral decision directed against Netanyahu".
"To form a left-wing government of Lapid-Gantz, they won't shy away from any means, including depriving Prime Minister Netanyahu of his right to finance his legal protection, a basic right given to every Knesset Member but now one Knesset member named Binyamin Netanyahu is being deprived. Prime Minister Netanyahu will appeal to the Supreme Court against this scandalous decision."
