Former prime minister Ehud Barak has welcomed the joint ticket of Benny Gantz's Israel Resilience Party and Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid Party in the upcoming Knesset election.
Writing on Twitter, the former Labor Party chairman said, "Congratulations to Gantz and Lapid!" in Arabic. Continuing in Hebrew, he cited them for overcoming the obstacles, demonstrating responsibility and creating a union of forces "with a chance for a revolution. He continued, "The choice is between a corrupt government ruled by Kahanists and racists, and a government that can bring us back to a strong Israel, faithful to the Declaration of Independence. The test of implementation and victory is still ahead of them. They deserve the blessing of success."
