Chairman Yossi Dagan of the Samaria Regional Council, who is involved in contacts between the Jewish Home-National Union list and the list of Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power), said on Tuesday, "I call on the parties to unite, to reach understandings. The gaps are small. They can be overcome."
Dagan's comments came after it became clear that, according to the surveys, despite the unified Knesset run of the Jewish Home and the National Union, there is a chance that they will not pass the threshold and if they join Otzma Yehudit and the Yachad Party they can reach between 8 and 9 Knesset seats, avoid losing votes and allowing the establishment of a right-wing government.
