The Jerusalem District Court has sentenced Miriam Mendelev, 35, a resident of Beit Shemesh, to eight years in prison for killing her father in May 2017.
As part of a plea bargain, the murder offense was commuted to manslaughter. Mandelb's family supported the arrangement because of the tragic circumstances that led her to the act - "her mental state and closeness to drunkeness".
