Chairman Eli Yishai of the Yahad Party said, Monday evening, "I have done everything in my power to bring about unification in the right-wing bloc. At the same time, there are borders that we will not pass and conditions to which we cannot agree. Over the years I have been careful not to turn left and right from what my rabbis instructed me to do."
Responding to the pressure being exerted on the Jewish Home-National Union for joint runs with other parties in the upcoming Knesset elections, Yishai said, "Whoever is now preventing unification on the right - he and only he - will be responsible for the establishment of a leftist government."
