Rabbi Rafi Peretz and Member of Knesset Bezalel Smotrich, the leaders of the Jewish Home-National Union list, have explained their refusal to attend a meeting with Prime Minister and Likud Party Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu by saying, "We are running an independent party that makes its own decisions and is not run by the prime minister or anyone else."
