Gush Etzion Mayor Shlomo Neeman reacted vigorously to the cutting down of hundreds of vines and cherry trees in the orchards of Kibbutz Kfar Etzion.
"I view with seriousness the destruction of orchards in Kfar Etzion by terrorists from neighboring Arab villages. There are those who find it difficult to see the success of extensive agriculture and prosperous settlement, and we must take steps to eradicate these phenomena and fight terror in all its cruel forms. We'll continue with pride to grow and cultivate our agriculture without any fear," he said.
