Knesset House Committee Chairman MK Mickey Zohar (Likud) called on the Knesset Elections Committee Chairman to open an investigation without delay on suspicions of foreign interference in the elections, due to Abbas's meeting in Ramallah with the mayor of Nazareth and the latter's request not to dismantle the Joint Arab List.
"There's a limit to every prank," MK Zohar said. "The issue before us is very serious in my eyes. This is blatant intervention by a foreign entity that is hostile to Israel - in the democratic elections in Israel. I turned to the Chairman of the Elections Committee to open an urgent investigation and I have no intention of letting it go until the matter is fully clarified."
