The Hapoel Jerusalem basketball team on Thursday evening won the national championship for the fifth time in its history after defeating Maccabi Rishon Lezion by a score of 82-67.
President Reuven Rivlin later presented the State Cup to Hapoel Jerusalem captain Lior Eliyahu. The president congratulated the winning team at the end of the match and shook hands with the players and then went onto the court to congratulate both Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Rishon Lezion for an impressive and fair game.
